East End Disability Associates Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). EEDA is hiring a full-time Quality Assurance Coordinator to support compliance and ensure high-quality, person-centered services.
Shifts: Full time, M-F between the hours of 9am-5pm. Flexibility is required based on program needs.
Hourly Rate: $25.96
Location: Riverhead, NY - travel is required to various programs.

1. Coordinates all agency internal review efforts, including but not limited to:
Develops and disseminates an annual review schedule of all EEDA programs
Develops, implements, maintains and updates appropriate review protocols
2. Performs said reviews, which would include but not limited to:
Programmatic observational and documentation reviews in all agency programs and services
Billing justification reviews for applicable agency programs and services
Documents findings on standardized formats and distributes those findings to appropriate personnel after departmental review
3. Assisting during external reviews as assigned
4. Provision of follow up for noted internal reviews, individual incident report recommendations, plan of corrective action implementation plans and any other assigned follow up responsibilities
5. Provide guidance and support to all levels of staff on areas of Incident Management and quality assurance
6. Utilize OPWDD's Incident Report Management Application (IRMA)
7. Keep track of all reportable and internal incidents
8. Create incident trending reports quarterly and annually
9. Assists in the submission of required reports on incidents to all regulatory agencies
10. Assists with in-service educational program for direct support staff with regard to incident regulatory requirements
11. Assist the Senior Manager of Quality and Compliance Officer in the development of EEDA Policies and Procedures
12. Participates in standing EEDA Committees: Incident Review, Human Rights, Corporate Compliance
13. Participates in Long Island Alliance Quality Assurance Taskforce
14. Support the individuals we serve, our staff and our agency beliefs by engaging in legislative advocacy efforts
15. Ability to provide onsite duties and support by traveling to all EEDA sites
16. Support work environment that encourages collaboration and allows team work to flourish
17. Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the Senior Manager of Quality and Compliance Officer.
Requirements
Associates degree in a human services related field with 3 years of experience in I/DD and incident management Knowledge and understanding of OPWDD incident reporting requirements Experience with direct IRMA data entry preferred Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
