About The Position Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech - Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 Months Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 3+ Years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ARDMS RDCS, BLS, CCI RCS Must-Have: Proficient in performing echocardiograms for pediatric patients, including babies younger than 1 year old. Experience in performing neonatal echocardiograms. Familiarity with structural echocardiograms is a plus. Ability to learn protocols and be signed off on competencies within a short timeframe. Accessibility to reliable transportation for potential travel between multiple facilities. Description: Seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer. Candidate must be proficient in performing quality echocardiograms for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Sonographers will be expected to float between various units as needed. Rotating weekend coverage every 4th to 6th weekend may be required. On-call responsibilities included, with potential coverage from 4 PM to 7 AM. Sonographers must possess knowledge of both pediatric and adult echocardiography practices. Daily caseload is expected to be around 7 patients per shift. Additional equipment experience required with Philips scanners. Specialized echo procedures include bubble studies and stress echocardiograms. The position involves working within a supportive interdisciplinary team. Candidates must be prepared to adapt to a frequently changing environment due to patient needs and staffing requirements. Must comply with all necessary competency evaluations as per departmental protocols.
