Position Summary

As an Environmental Monitoring (EM) Analyst I, you play a vital role in protecting patient safety and ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality. By executing routine monitoring activities in our cleanroom and controlled environments, you help uphold compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts routine environmental monitoring of cleanrooms, controlled environments, and equipment to ensure compliance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Collects, documents, and evaluates viable and non-viable samples including air, surface, and personnel monitoring to assess contamination control. Collaborates with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure compliance and good aseptic practices. Maintains accurate and timely records, logs, and reports to support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance activities. Supports continuous improvement initiatives by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) while contributing to enhanced contamination control practices. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and commitment to collaboration and quality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques; following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and using Microsoft Office applications. Some experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare manufacturing environments with exposure to cleanroom practices or quality systems highly preferred. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related experience. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) training preferred; aseptic technique certification preferred; Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training preferred.
