Position Summary

The Supervisor, Facilities Cleaning plays a vital role in maintaining the sterile environments essential for producing high-quality medications. This position offers the opportunity to uphold and enhance cleanroom standards, mentor, and train cleaning technicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance. Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises and oversees the execution of comprehensive cleaning and sanitization protocols within cleanroom environments, ensuring strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards to protect product integrity and patient safety. Leads, mentors, and trains cleaning technicians, developing, and implementing robust training programs that foster a culture of excellence, compliance, and proficiency in aseptic techniques and standard operating procedures. Collaborates with cross-functional leadership, including Quality Assurance and Production, to identify, address, and prevent contamination risks, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency. Oversees inventory management of cleaning agents and critical supplies, coordinating with procurement to prevent shortages, maintain supply readiness, and ensure uninterrupted operations. Conducts and supervises regular inspections and environmental monitoring, analyzing data to validate and enhance cleaning procedures, proactively addressing deviations, and enforcing the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and quality assurance. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills

Advanced proficiency in operating and maintaining aseptic equipment, implementing environmental monitoring programs, overseeing quality assurance documentation, and ensuring strict adherence to USP standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, with proven expertise in cleanroom maintenance, aseptic techniques, and ensuring compliance with cGMP; 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant discipline is a plus. cGMP Training Certification is strongly preferred, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certification is preferred, and additional certification in Aseptic Processing, Cleanroom Practices, or a related field is strongly preferred.
