Responsibilities: **
Perform
bank reconciliations
and prepare
journal entries
Maintain accurate
general ledger
accounts and ensure proper posting of
debits and credits
Utilize
QuickBooks
for client bookkeeping
Prepare and file
payroll tax forms
(Forms
940
,
941
, and
RT-6
)
Assist with client financial statements and other accounting reports
Support tax preparers during tax season (prior tax return experience is a plus)
**
Qualifications: **
Proficiency in
QuickBooks
and basic accounting principles
Working knowledge of
debits/credits
,
journal entries
, and
bank reconciliations
Experience with
payroll taxes
preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
**
Prior tax preparation experience ** a plus, but not required
**
