About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled maintenance person to service our residential and commercial properties and customers in the Southwest Michigan area. Duties include general maintenance, HVAC, minor electrical, plumbing or carpentry work. The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with property management teams to address maintenance requests efficiently and professionally. By proactively identifying potential issues and executing effective solutions, this role contributes to preserving property value and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within the real estate or property management industry.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Experience with or the willingness to learn to use a software app for time/project tracking.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and repairs to residential and commercial properties.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, owners or property managers, diagnosing issues and executing repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, supplies and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or large-scale maintenance projects.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
