Enstructure
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Supervises and directs daily warehouse activities. Plans daily work schedule, supervises labor and equipment. Directs the movement of various cargos to/from rail cars, ISO shipping containers and over-the-road trucks. Ensures accurate inventory control and safe and efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintains firm hand on all aspects of operations and maintains effective balance of communication between management, supervision, and all production and support personnel. • Reviews daily work load to determine the amount of equipment and personnel needed to support safe and efficient operations. • Schedules and shifts personnel to ensure efficient work teams. Initiates cross-training to ensure achievement of productivity goals. • Ensures proper documentation and records on employee performance, safety, etc. • Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation and security procedures. • Initiates work order and reports to maintenance equipment and/or facility needs. • Collaborates with Senior Management to align strategic vision for vessel/warehouse operations with overall Port strategy for maximizing productivity and safety. • Reports daily performance and held accountable to performance goals and KPI's. • Additional duties as assigned. • This position is primarily a day-shift position with some nights and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS: • 2+ years lead or supervisory experience in warehouse, stevedoring, terminal, and vessel operations. • Bachelors or Equivalent in business or logistics preferred. • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. • Strong verbal, written, and computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office. • Able to operate and use modern office equipment. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to lead, supervise, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable for performance, safety, and results. • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees and customers. • Must possess a valid driver's license throughout course of employment. • Preferably education from a Maritime School • Must have or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a TWIC. • Must have the ability to work in a refrigerated and/or non-temperature controlled warehouse environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms and write, talk, type and hear. Employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, bend and or kneel and lift and or move up to 35 lbs. Employee works in a warehouse or outdoor environment.
