Danbury Hospital is seeking MRI Technologists -- we are growing and seek PRN, and Part Time MRI Techs- increased rates and shift differentials. ($54.73+ shfit differential for PRN and $44.83 - 56.04 for Part Time MRI Techs. Part time accrues PTO benefits.)

PRN employees --Mandatory 2 shifts per month. 1 shift on weekend mandatory. Sat 7am-3:30pm or Sun 8am-4:30pm

Part Time - 8 hours per week Saturday OR Sunday.

Summary:

Performs high quality diagnostic and accurate MRI procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients.

Responsibilities:

Provides optimum patient care.

Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise to safely & correctly operate MRI equipment.

Performs and records # for daily QA.

Develops skills to practice in a safe, clinical environment.

Develops skills in Contrast Administration.

Demonstrates self direction and utilizes problem solving techniques.

Cross trained in another modality.

Maintains technical competency in the following less frequent order procedure (2 or more years experience).

Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Required:

Minimum Experience: one year

Desired: 3 years experience in MRI; background in ultrasound or CT scan.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
