Job Summary and Responsibilities Job Summary:
The incumbent is accountable and responsible for decontamination, instrument recognition, set assembly, dispensing carts, sterilization and documentation in all medical center and clinics as required or assigned.
Job Requirements Requirements:
Requires six (6) months Sterile Processing/Operating Room environment of CSPD Technician experience
Certified and Registered Central Service Technician CRCST or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor CSPDS or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech CSPDT or Certified Sterile Processing Dist Tech CSPDT-CBSPD.
Proficient computer skills such as but not limited to basic Microsoft and keyboarding, demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instruments, assembly, packaging, sterilization, cleaning and decontamination processes and proper safety practices including infection control, body mechanics and hazardous materials.
Basic knowledge of medical supplies and record keeping.
