Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role
Step into a hands-on role where you’ll keep high-performance ammonia refrigeration systems running at peak reliability across a busy warehouse environment. Working under general supervision, you’ll independently diagnose, repair, and optimize complex industrial refrigeration equipment, ensuring safe operations and regulatory compliance every day.
A Day in the Life
You arrive ready to evaluate overnight system trends, verify setpoints, and walk the floor. You monitor pressures, temperatures, and alarms, then make safe adjustments to keep product integrity protected. When equipment isn’t behaving, you dig into root causes—verifying electrical, mechanical, and controls performance with voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges. If a valve change is needed, you plan and execute a pump-out/evacuation and replace components under strict LOTO procedures and within the PSM framework. You’ll also calibrate HVAC devices, inspect work against blueprints and specifications, and document preventive maintenance thoroughly in the Oracle CMMS. Throughout the shift, you keep your area 6S-ready and support on-call coverage when needed.
Core Responsibilities

Continuously monitor system performance; recognize and respond when operation deviates from normal

Inspect completed work for conformance with blueprints, specifications, and safety requirements
Apply systematic troubleshooting methods to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
Test safety equipment to ensure OSHA and operational standards
Maintain accurate PM records in the Oracle CMMS
Uphold 6S standards and general housekeeping
Support flexible schedules, including on-call, nights, and weekends as required
