Custom Engineering
Join Custom Engineering as a CNC Machinist on our 2nd shift! We are looking for skilled machinists to operate advanced horizontal boring mills, vertical mills, and bridge mills.
Set up and remove workpieces from machines following established procedures.
Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to guarantee that specifications are met.
Conduct in-process inspections at the machines and adjust offsets to maintain compliance with required tolerances.
Position and secure workpieces using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes.
Interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work orders to determine necessary tolerances and procedures.
Possess a strong foundation in general machining practices.
Recognize various tooling types and procedures necessary for achieving close tolerances.

Requirements:
Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
Experience in CNC operation or completion of relevant schooling.
Proficient in interpreting documents, blueprints, and basic GD&T.
Knowledge of basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals, along with the ability to calculate tooling speeds and feeds.
Strong understanding of CNC controls and G-code commands.
Experience with adjusting or setting tool lengths and work offsets within programs.
Crane and forklift experience required.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Compensation:
$20-$24 Hourly Wage Location: Less than a mile off the Bayfront Parkway on McClelland Ave.
