Position Overview
We're partnering with a top manufacturing client, located in Wilmington, MA, seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III. This is a hands‑on role for a senior‑level machinist skilled in setup, troubleshooting, and light programming.
Employment Details
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: 2nd Shift – 4:00 pm – 12:00 am
Pay: $29‑$45/hr (based on experience)

Base Pay Range $72,800.00 / yr – $72,800.00 / yr
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and program CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDMs
Machine precision components to tight tolerances
Interpret complex blueprints, models, and specs
Recommend tooling, speeds/feeds, and process improvements
Troubleshoot machining issues and make minor program edits
Support fixture improvements and process documentation
Use precision measurement equipment to verify quality
Support continuous improvement / 5S initiatives
Mentor and train junior machinists
Qualifications
5+ years CNC machining experience
Strong setup, offsets, and minor edits experience
Comfortable across multiple machine types
Excellent blueprint & measurement skills
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced / regulated environment
Solid communication & documentation skills
High school diploma or GED required
US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
Nice to Have
Machining/Tooling certificate or Associates degree
Experience supporting Engineering or fixture design
Desired Skills and Experience
