Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Ensure a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage production load and scheduling to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and efficiency. Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and minimize waste. Oversee labor across 1st and 2nd shifts, as well as material and equipment usage to meet production goals cost-effectively. Coordinate and expedite manufacturing orders throughout the facility. Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets and maintain a positive work culture. Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with Production Control, Sales, Quality, and other department leaders to set priorities and communicate order status. Plan for future production needs, including capacity and resource forecasting. Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Apply technical expertise in CNC machining to troubleshoot issues and maintain equipment. Serve as second-in-command to the Plant Manager, escalating issues and supporting plant-wide operations. Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within the ERP manufacturing system. Qualifications:
Proven experience in CNC machining, fabrication, and operations management. Minimum 7 years in production planning and resource management, preferably in CNC and contract manufacturing. Minimum 7 years of experience in people management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and process improvement methodologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation. Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, and production teams.
The salary range for this position is $77,680-$116,520. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
