About the role:
Our client is leading U.S.-based manufacturer specializes in high-performance electron devices and RF power amplification technologies. With a legacy spanning over 70 years in aerospace and defense, the company serves a diverse range of markets including space, electronic warfare, radar, medical, scientific, and industrial sectors. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory Minimum of 15 years experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in cost accounting Proven background in manufacturing is essential; experience in the defense sector is highly desirable A minimum of 10 years in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating strong management capabilities Proficiency with ERP systemsInfor LN preferredas well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Day to Day Responsibilities: The position oversees financial operations, guiding fiscal strategy, policy development, and the integrity of financial reporting across designated business units. The role leads a high-performing accounting team and drives organizational alignment through data-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance. Ensure timely and accurate corporate and government reporting for all business units Maintain compliance with financial regulations and GAAP Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting personnel Manage departmental staffing decisions including promotions and development Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance financial insights and business analytics Serve as a key advisor in evaluating unit performance and growth initiatives Lead annual budgeting and recurring financial forecasts Direct monthly/quarterly close processes with a focus on precision and timeliness Analyze variances in cost components including PPV and labor productivity Partner with engineering/operations to identify root causes and execute corrective actions Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead Evaluate inventory valuation and reserve needs Manage capital expenditure plans and the Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) process Optimize working capital and inventory management strategies Prepare rolling cash forecasts and oversee liquidity planning Conduct cost modeling and scenario planning for strategic projects Analyze manufacturing performance against forecasted metrics Deliver actionable insights for operational optimization and growth Ensure proper documentation of accounting operations Establish and enforce financial procedures and internal controls
