What You'll Do
Relate Search has partnered with a leading independent power producer in their search for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and repair operations at a combined cycle power plant. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment, piping, valves, and machinery essential to reliable plant performance. The Maintenance Technician will work hands-on with gas and steam turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, motors, and other auxiliary systems, while maintaining strict adherence to all safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair, and replacement on plant equipment including pumps, valves, fans, gearboxes, compressors, demineralizers, and turbine components. Conduct piping and conduit installation for system upgrades and modifications, operating tools and machinery such as drill presses, grinders, milling machines, and pipe threading machines. Operate welding and cutting equipment to complete metal fabrication and repair projects. Support plant reliability through preventive maintenance using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintaining accurate records and spare parts inventories. Adhere to all Health & Safety Management System practices by identifying and reporting hazards, participating in incident investigations, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a power plant mechanic, millwright, or equivalent industrial maintenance role. Proven ability to overhaul valves, pumps, compressors, and other balance-of-plant mechanical systems. Skilled in using basic hand tools, portable power tools, pneumatic tools, and rigging equipment such as winches and hoists. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Perks & Benefits
