Role Objective:

Metalsa is seeking

2 skilled Electricians

and

2 experienced HVAC Technicians

to join our Facilities Maintenance team. These roles are essential for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our plant's electrical and HVAC systems. Each technician will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, contributing to facility uptime, compliance, and continuous improvement. All technicians will utilize Maximo CMMS for work order tracking and collaborate across maintenance and engineering teams.

Essential Functions of the Position:

For Electricians: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, panels, motors, and facility infrastructure. Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors, control panels, and power distribution systems. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals for installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and Metalsa safety standards (e.g., lockout/tagout, arc flash). Participate in root cause analysis, FMDS meetings, and KPI tracking. For HVAC Technicians:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, motors, sensors, and control components. Diagnose and resolve issues with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Operate and maintain industrial equipment such as forklifts and man lifts. Document all work using Maximo CMMS and support plant uptime and performance goals. Shared Responsibilities:

Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-call/weekend support as needed. Apply 5S and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plant reliability and efficiency. Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED (required). Electricians:

Valid Virginia Master Electrician License (required) with 7-10 years of industrial or facilities electrical maintenance experience. HVAC Technicians:

Valid Virginia HVAC Technician License (preferred) with 7-10 years of HVAC or industrial maintenance experience. Basic computer literacy; experience with Maximo CMMS is a plus. Technical Skills:

Electricians:

3-phase motor systems, conduit bending, wiring installation, power distribution, panel construction, and electrical safety protocols. HVAC Technicians:

HVAC diagnostics, repair, system troubleshooting, and electrical control integration. Shared understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using multimeters, test instruments, hand and power tools. Soft Skills:

Strong communication and teamwork. Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking. Self-starter with attention to detail and reliability. Commitment to safety and compliance in all tasks. Work Schedule & Environment:

Standard schedule: Weekends Day shift 100% on-site role at Roanoke, VA facility. Occasional overtime, shutdown, or emergency support as needed. What's in it for YOU?
