SUMMARY:

Directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial experience along the care continuum. Reviews, designs and implements processes related to pricing, billing, third-party payer relationships, compliance, collections, authorizations, referrals, and financial analysis to ensure that clinical revenue is properly realized. Responsible for the oversight of assigned revenue cycle operations, including the supervision of Revenue Cycle Managers and their respective teams. These teams may include Billing, Authorizations, Referrals, Eligibility, Patient Financial Counseling (PFC), and Patient Account Representatives (PAR). This is an exempt, salaried position.

Knows, aligns with, and strives to achieve the organization's vision and mission statements via the Accountability Creed. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITES :

Provides strategic oversight of revenue cycle operations, including direct supervision of Revenue Cycle Managers and their respective teams. Collaborates with the CFO to execute the strategic vision for the Revenue Cycle Department. Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), departmental effectiveness, and operational benchmarks; promptly identifies and escalates deficiencies to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Leads the development and enforcement of policies, goals, and best practices aimed at improving authorization processes, billing timelines, accounts receivable collection, and minimizing bad debt. Ensures departmental compliance with payer requirements and internal revenue cycle policies and procedures. Oversees the planning and execution of strategic initiatives across revenue cycle functions. Develops and maintains effective relationships with payers to facilitate open communication and maximize reimbursement for services rendered. Establishes, documents, and maintains standardized operating procedures, training protocols, and performance metrics to ensure operational consistency and compliance. Reviews and supports 30-60-90-day expectations, training progress, and ongoing competency development for direct reports. Prepares and presents quarterly performance updates and ad hoc reports related to revenue cycle operations to the CFO. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility:

Provides leadership and support to the Revenue Cycle Managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration. A minimum of eight (8) years of healthcare experience. A minimum of four (4) years of managerial experience. Thorough knowledge of medical and infusion coding and third-party operating procedures and practices. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master's in healthcare. Experience in multi-specialty physician setting. Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) or other equivalent certifications. Authorization and referral experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to lead teams made up of multiple positions. Advanced experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)/Practice Management (PM) systems. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequently required to bend, stoop, reach, and sit for 7-8 hours daily at a computer terminal. Frequently required to handle several face-to-face and telephone contacts daily. Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate office equipment and use a keyboard. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and move items up to 15 pounds.
