The School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role requires strong communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively. The receptionist ensures a smooth and organized school office while providing essential administrative support.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist visitors, parents, students, and staff in a professional and friendly manner. Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages promptly. Manage student attendance, tardiness, early dismissals, and daily check-ins and check-outs. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Monitor the school's main entrance and enforce security protocols. Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and document preparation. Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed. Coordinate with bus companies regarding late arrivals or pickups. Keep the reception area neat, organized, and welcoming. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in office administration is a plus). Previous experience in an office or customer service role preferred, especially in a school setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. Familiarity with basic office equipment (phones, copiers, fax machines, etc.).
