Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults (OB focus) Shift Details:
12-hour shifts (06:00–18:30 / 18:00–06:30) 3x12 only –
no 4x12 allowed Block scheduling
Weekend Requirement:
To meet staffing needs (every other or every third) Float:
Yes – travelers are first to float within scope Call:
Yes – as needed Systems:
EPIC + OBIX documentation, Pyxis med system, SBAR communication Support Services:
Pharmacy, Radiology, Respiratory, Rapid Response, Social Services, PT, Phlebotomy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Provider Coverage:
In-house 24/7 – Intensivist, Hospitalist, NP, Anesthesiologist, CRNA Required
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (minimum), Fetal Heart Monitoring Experience:
At least
1 year of recent L&D RN experience Experience with
high-risk OB patients Competency in circulating for C-sections, recovery, triage, fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and postpartum care Ratios 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
Skills:
Labor management (EFM, SVE, NSTs, triage, induction, augmentation, preterm labor, VBAC) OB emergencies: hemorrhage, eclampsia, pre-eclampsia, malpresentation, multiples, uterine rupture Circulate/scrub for C-sections, recovery, and immediate neonatal care (APGAR, resuscitation, thermoregulation) Postpartum and newborn couplet care
