Drywall Estimators
at any experience level to their growing preconstruction team.
Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who’s either an experienced estimator looking for a fresh challenge, or a junior professional eager to develop a long-term career in estimating. You’ll play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting the team through all stages of the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify drywall and framing scope. Perform take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment related to drywall, metal framing, insulation, and finishing systems. Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and supporting documentation. Work closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure estimates align with schedules and budgets. Participate in bid reviews and help identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities. Maintain organized estimating files, vendor quotes, and bid records. Continue to build technical knowledge of drywall systems, productivity rates, and market pricing through hands-on experience and mentorship.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in drywall or construction estimating to
open to all levels. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and specs. Proficiency in take-off tools, estimating software, or Excel is an advantage (training available). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn or lead depending on experience. Degree or background in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture is a plus but not essential.
