Overview The Supply Chain Manager oversees and optimizes the entire supply chain cycle, from raw material procurement to production and manufacturing delivery. This role ensures materials are available for production, inventory is communicated efficiently, suppliers are coordinated, and customer delivery expectations are met. The manager collaborates cross‑functionally with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to support operational goals and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support production schedules and customer requirements.
Lead procurement activities including sourcing, supplier negotiation, and vendor management.
Manage inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
Coordinate with demand planning, production scheduling, and materials planning.
Coordinate logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action plans when needed.
Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to manage supplier qualifications and audits.
Proven experience in ERP systems (item setup, BOMs, demand planning).
Drive cost reduction initiatives and supply chain process improvements.
Use PLM systems (e.g., Arena) to maintain accurate BOMs, supply‑chain data and reporting.
Lead and develop a team of supply‑chain professionals (buyers, planners, analysts).
Ensure compliance with industry standards, including AS9100, ISO, and other applicable certifications.
Develop KPIs and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or APICS certification preferred).
5+ years of progressive experience in supply‑chain, procurement, and vendor management within a manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing experience with PCBA and manufacturing processes.
Strong knowledge of MRP systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Experience with government contracts and operations is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods.
Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lb on a regular basis.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas.
Climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk‑throughs, or emergency response situations.
Be exposed to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
Occasional off‑hours or weekend work for emergency facility responses or projects.
Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment for documentation and coordination tasks.
