Purchasing Manager – Raw Materials located in The Woodlands, Texas. This role supports Huntsman’s Global Purchasing Division and reports to the PUR Sourcing – Director Purchasing. Job Scope
The Purchasing Manager – Raw Materials will lead procurement activities across select chemical raw materials and energy categories. This role combines strategic and tactical sourcing with operational execution, supporting Huntsman’s Americas manufacturing sites and global initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and drive long-term value creation. Responsibilities
Lead sourcing for high-spend chemical and/or energy commodities with a focus on cost reduction and value creation. Develop and execute multi-year strategic sourcing plans aligned with business goals, including Make vs. Buy decisions, product substitution, and standardization. Negotiate and manage complex supply agreements to maximize profitability and ensure supply continuity. Maintain deep market insight into U.S. and global chemical and energy markets. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Technology teams to drive total cost of ownership improvements. Manage supplier relationships and develop strategic alliances across the extended supply chain. Execute procurement activities including contract negotiation, supplier onboarding, and SAP data accuracy. Provide consistent pricing and trend data for budgeting and forecasting. Influence internal stakeholders to ensure procurement delivers measurable business value. Formulate and execute risk mitigation strategies for high-impact commodities. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Education required: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field. Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, chemicals, oil & gas, or related industries; proven success in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management; strong knowledge of U.S. energy and chemicals markets; demonstrated ability to deliver results in strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Skills & Knowledge

Experience in commodity chemicals or energy trading and derivatives, including contract management. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Power BI, or project management tools. Working Environment
