Overview We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems within the aerospace and defense supply chain. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement across processes, suppliers, and product performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and capable of communicating effectively with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll work across departments to prevent quality issues, manage audits, and implement corrective actions that strengthen operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and audit programs that meet internal and customer requirements.

Coordinate and support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions.

Analyze non-conformances, identify root causes, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

Define and monitor supplier performance metrics, initiate audits when needed, and collaborate with vendors to resolve performance issues.

Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate customer concerns and identify opportunities for process and product improvement.

Use analytical tools such as FMEA, MSA, and Cause & Effect analysis to evaluate quality data and drive improvement initiatives.

Track key performance indicators including defect rates, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery to support ongoing quality reviews.

Facilitate meetings and reviews to communicate audit results, nonconformance trends, and recommended improvements.

Maintain clear and organized quality documentation, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and industry standards.

Contribute to process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and product reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems preferred).

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment (aerospace experience preferred).

Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Hands-on experience with customer and supplier quality interactions, corrective action management, and audit preparation.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with quality tools and databases.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Additional Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or have asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

This position requires compliance with ITAR and EAR export regulations; applicants will need to verify U.S. person status in accordance with 22 CFR 120.15.
