Electrical Engineer - Level II
ASIC Corporation, a West Chester, Ohio-based motion control distributor & systems integration firm, is now accepting resumes for experienced electrical engineers. We are a growing company offering career opportunities for candidates looking to gain experience in many diverse industries and a multitude of industrial processes, including automotive, power, consumer goods, medical, military, paper, and steel.
Pay range: $70K+ (based on experience)
Employment type: Full‑time
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday (some weekend hours may be required)
Location: In‑office (remote work is not available)
Responsibilities
Work independently on designing electrical systems, including specifying components, creating a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), and producing layout and schematic drawings in AutoCAD.
Collaborate with the in‑house 508A panel shop during the build phase to ensure each project is completed smoothly.
Program PLCs, drives, and HMIs (both in‑house and at customer sites), and provide cycle‑time improvement opportunities.
Travel and overnight stays may be required to fulfill job duties; all expenses are company‑paid.
Manage project hours, schedules, and customer interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
Experience with schematic design software and AutoCAD.
Field experience with commissioning and starting up PLC‑based control systems.
Excellent technical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in project management and customer communication.
Availability for travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with communication protocols such as AB Ethernet, DeviceNet, and BACnet.
HMI programming skills using AB FactoryTalk and ViewSE.
Experience with servo and VFD drive controls (ABB, SIEMENS, IDEC).
Programmable Logic Controller programming on AB, Siemens, or IDEC platforms.
