Commissioning Engineer - Hybrid
Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 per year (Total Compensation $115,000 - $140,000).
We are a leading engineering consulting firm with over 70 years of experience, offering a blend of architectural lighting, mechanical systems design, building commissioning, technology systems design, life support engineering, and fire protection engineering. We seek a Commissioning Engineer to lead projects across various types and sizes, from functional testing to design review.
Responsibilities
Commission a variety of project types and sizes, including functional testing, design reviews, and project close-out.
Lead projects, interfacing with clients and providing technical excellence.
Manage project teams and schedules to achieve successful project outcomes.
Develop and execute building commissioning and retro-commissioning plans.
Produce commissioning plans, design reviews, job progress reports, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and final reports.
Travel as required (more than 50%).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent.
4-6+ years of mechanical commissioning experience with background in MEP commissioning, design, and construction administration.
Proficiency in MEP systems: HVAC, building automation & controls, plumbing, fire alarm/life safety, lighting & lighting controls, emergency power, low voltage, renewable energy.
Commercial building commissioning and retro‑commissioning tasks such as plan creation, design reviews, progress reports, testing, and final reports.
Commissioning certification preferred (CBCP, BCxP, CxA, etc.) but not required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) advantage.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
