Staff Accountant | Culligan by Consolidated Water Group – Lombard, IL (Hybrid)

Description: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting, assisting with the month‑end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and quarterly and annual audits.

Responsibilities

Participate in month‑end close process which includes, but is not limited to:

Posting & documentation of journal entries on a timely basis

Ensuring completeness and accuracy of monthly account reconciliations

Assisting in supplemental reporting

Reconcile royalty reporting with Culligan International

Supporting the month end close preparing journal entries

Assisting with SG&A variance analysis

Inventory analysis to determine the cause of book to physical variances

Ensuring completeness and accuracy of assigned monthly account reconciliations

Maintaining existing process documents and creating new process documents

Prepare various schedules for the external financial statement auditors and coordinate and review all branch‑specific sample selections

Diligently work toward the completion of special projects, requests, and assignments

Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook.

Complete other ad‑hoc tasks as necessary

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting

2 – 3 years of comparable work experience

Familiarity with US GAAP

Proficiency in MS Office products – intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Strong accuracy and attention to detail

Manufacturing experience and inventory experience a plus

Ability to adapt in fast‑paced environment is a plus

Target Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000 per year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
