Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic
Inventory Specialist
to join our team at Specialty Motorsports! As our Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of powersports products, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and personal watercraft. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and the internal team to ensure inventory levels are optimized and that we are offering the best products to meet customer demand!
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage the intake of inventory, always ensuring adequate stock levels for sales and consignment. Using various platforms to source and procure units.
Consignments/Trade ins:
Completion of necessary paperwork and documentation for every customer who requests a consignment or trade in. Knowledge in cost and pricing of each unit is crucial.
Delivery:
Place and track orders to ensure timely delivery. Manage deliveries and shipping in a timely manner.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure proper product positioning and promotional strategies.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of purchasing or sales experience
Preferably in the powersports industry or a related field
Mechanically Inclined
M1 Motorcycle License endorsement
Street smart and Trustworthy
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the powersports industry, including products, manufacturers, and trends.
Familiarity with powersports parts and accessories is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with inventory management software and procurement systems
Other:
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
