Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Client's Quality Department, ensuring compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a positive and professional work environment through effective communication and collaboration with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
Ensure adherence to and maintenance of all quality system procedures and requirements relevant to this position.
Support and sustain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in alignment with 5S principles.
Oversee and manage all functions within the Quality Department, including:
ISO9001 and IATF 16949: Facilitate compliance and serve as the local Management Representative.
Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities.
Manage the Corrective Action process for customer complaints and rejections.
Communicate with customers regarding quality issues and improvement initiatives.
Review and negotiate customer chargebacks related to quality concerns.
Direct internal corrective and preventive actions, as well as continuous improvement projects, and report results to the Engineering Manager.
Supervise department staff — including hiring, training, task assignment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Oversee the Calibration Process and ensure accuracy of measuring equipment.
Track and report customer and supplier metrics, including scorecard management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Quality, Engineering, or a related field
Must be qualified to audit to ISO9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management System requirements.
Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, GD&T, and Statistical Process Capability.
ASQ or RAB/QSA certifications preferred.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
