Job Description: Quality Control Engineer (Electronics, Manufacturing) Overview We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Engineer with prior experience in managing quality systems, particularly ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO13385, and AS9100, within the electronics contract manufacturing industry with hands‑on PCB experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Implementation and Maintenance of Quality Systems: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO13385, and AS9100 standards.

Quality Assurance in Electronics Manufacturing: Develop, implement, and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures specific to electronics contract manufacturing, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.

Product Quality Control: Oversee and conduct thorough quality control inspections and tests on electronic components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet specified standards and customer expectations.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the manufacturing environment to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain stringent quality standards for incoming materials and components used in electronic manufacturing processes.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensure timely resolution to prevent recurrence of quality discrepancies.

Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non‑conformity records, and corrective action plans. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

Training and Development: Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices to foster a culture of quality excellence.

Audits and Compliance Checks: Conduct regular internal audits and compliance checks to assess adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer‑specific quality agreements.

Customer Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for quality‑related inquiries and issues raised by customers, addressing concerns promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Previous experience (min. 5 years) in a quality control or quality assurance role within the electronics contract manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, with hands‑on experience in managing ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO13385, and AS9100 standards.

Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues systematically.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.

Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and through‑hole assembly.

Certifications related to quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt) are a plus.
