Position Overview The Accounting Manager – Lending Operations will play a pivotal role in linking loan-level activity across servicing systems, warehouse lines, and fund accounting. This position ensures accuracy and control over loan transactions, interest accruals, warehouse reconciliations, and fund integration within a growing private credit platform. The role provides hands‑on leadership for the accounting close process and supports fund‑level NAV preparation, investor reporting, and audit readiness.
Reports to: Fund Controller
Direct Reports: 1–2 Senior Accountants
Works closely with: Fund Accounting, Loan Operations, and Treasury
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily and monthly accounting for loan fundings, payoffs, and warehouse activities.
Manage reconciliations between loan servicing (TMO), loan origination (Salesforce), and the GL (Sage Intacct).
Prepare and review journal entries for interest income, origination fees, and warehouse interest expense.
Coordinate month‑end close for lending‑related entities and warehouse facilities.
Own borrowing base and warehouse reconciliations; partner with Treasury on debt compliance.
Collaborate with Fund Accounting on consolidation and investor reporting.
Prepare and review audit schedules related to loans, warehouse lines, and income recognition.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Supervise Senior Accountants supporting lending operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timeliness and accuracy of loan‑to‑GL reconciliations
Month‑end close and other closing cycle times
Audit findings and control exceptionsProcess improvement and automation adoption
Technical Skills
Loan lifecycle accounting, interest accruals, and recognition
Warehouse facility accounting and covenant compliance
Reconciliation and variance analysis
Intermediate to advanced Excel modeling and data handling
Familiarity with data feeds between servicing and accounting systems
Behavioral & Leadership Competencies

Qualifications
6–9 years of accounting experience, including exposure to private credit, direct lending, or fund administration.
Strong understanding of loan accounting, warehouse financing, and fund structures.
Experience with Sage Intacct (or similar GL), The Mortgage Office (TMO), and Salesforce/LOS.
Solid technical grounding in GAAP, including ASC 310 (Loan Accounting) and ASC 326 (CECL).
Experience supporting external audits and implementing process improvements.
Compensation This is a fully remote, exempt, regular full‑time position. The salary range is $125K - $145K, plus discretionary bonus potential.
