Position Summary
The
Kitting & Logistics Lead
plays a key role in coordinating and performing daily kitting operations while providing leadership and support within the logistics department. The role ensures weldment and assembly kits are accurately prepared, packaged, and ready for production or customer shipment. The position also serves as a backup to the Logistics Supervisor, supporting daily operations and overall workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily kitting operations ensuring all required components are accurately located, verified, and packaged for production or shipment.
Oversee organization and workflow efficiency within the kitting area.
Collaborate with Production, Welding, and Purchasing to resolve part shortages or discrepancies.
Verify accuracy of counts, packaging, and labeling per internal or customer‑specific requirements.
Assist in scheduling, preparing, and verifying outgoing and incoming shipments, including bills of lading and related documentation.
Serve as the primary or secondary administrator for customer packaging and logistics portals.
Provide guidance and support to logistics staff; promote teamwork, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance kitting, logistics, and shipping operations.
