Job Description This role is based in our Orlando office.

As the Director of Marketing, you will report to the Sr Director of Marketing, responsible for developing marketing strategies, leading a team, and overseeing the execution of marketing campaigns for Premiere Shows, the largest series of professional beauty events in the United States. In partnership with the Sr Director of Marketing and Event Director, you will drive strategy development and implementation aimed at driving beauty professionals and brands to participate in the events, in addition to cultivating a community of engaged industry professionals and students year‑round.

In this role, you’ll create engaging brand messaging that truly connects with our audience, ensuring a consistent identity across all channels. You’ll collaborate with our leadership team to establish clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive success for our incredible portfolio of shows. Bringing in a well‑versed expert in both traditional and digital marketing to help us elevate our brand, you will explore new technologies and innovative tactics to boost awareness, leads, and conversions.

Role Accountability and Duties

Manage, champion and develop the Premiere Shows marketing team

Partner with leadership to develop strategic marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives, utilizing KPIs to track success and optimization as needed

Design and implement targeted lead generation strategies and nurture streams to convert prospects through the marketing funnel

Collaborate with team members to develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns targeting attendees, exhibitors, and educators

Oversee digital marketing initiatives including website optimization, SEO/SEM, social media strategy, digital advertising, and digital planning tools – including mobile app and online directory

Establish and work with team members to maintain a marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of all initiatives

Analyze campaign performance metrics and customer data to drive continuous optimization of marketing strategies, maximizing ROI and identifying growth opportunities

Develop and maintain brand identity while creating compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences across all marketing channels

Work with Creative Director and design team to ensure consistent implementation of branding, value proposition, imagery, and positioning across all materials while collaborating with leadership to enhance brand messaging and values

Set PR objectives that support the overall brand goals, oversee the strategy and implementation

Collaborate with Creative Director and Programs Director on timelines and execution of design projects, including print materials and signage

Oversee direct mail program, including analysis of mailing lists, quantities and continual measurement of effectiveness

Develop strategic marketing partnerships with customers and key stakeholders to drive awareness and credibility for the Premiere brand, as well as maintain strong industry relations

Regularly report to Sr. Director of Marketing and other key stakeholders on marketing campaign and initiative results, effectiveness, and ROI

Manage the marketing budget – planning, monitoring, and reconciliation

Drive innovation by staying current with emerging marketing technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

5‑7 years proven work experience within the event or tradeshow marketing space

Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns utilizing offline, online, content and social media marketing strategies

Writing skills – demonstrated ability to write targeted marketing copy for sales materials, presentations, and marketing campaigns

Demand generation – creation of marketing campaigns that generate leads and new opportunities

Leadership skills – demonstrated ability to make strategic and operational decisions to achieve goals and coach direct reports towards growth

An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to take projects and run with them

Comfortable and enthusiastic interfacing with customers and media

Problem solving – balance stakeholder needs while maintaining brand and business objectives, identifying roadblocks, determining fixes, and working in a team environment to implement solutions

Out of the box thinking – willing to challenge norms and come up with fresh ideas and approaches to reaching audiences and engaging customers

Data‑driven – ability to analyze data and create reports using insights for key stakeholders

Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required

Experience using Salesforce and Eloqua (including building campaigns for optimized automation) is highly desired

Experience in building or developing loyalty programs a plus

Interest or experience in the beauty industry is a plus

Self‑motivated, collaborative, and high energy

Ability to travel 25%
