Technology Infrastructure Engineer Cyclyx International, LLC ("Cyclyx") is a pioneer in the plastic value chain, leveraging proprietary technology to convert post‑use plastic waste into high‑quality feedstock for recycling. The company is building a state‑of‑the‑art Circularity Center in Houston, TX, designed to process a diverse range of post‑consumer, commercial, and industrial plastic waste and produce 300 million pounds of custom‑formulated feedstock per year.

Role Overview The Infrastructure Systems Engineer supports, maintains, and optimizes the organization’s server and network infrastructure. Responsibilities include hands‑on technical assistance across hardware and software platforms, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and proactively addressing vulnerabilities to ensure operational integrity.

Collaborates closely with the Cyclyx Technology team, documents processes and configurations, and responds to evolving security requirements. Experience with ERP, SCADA, Business Intelligence, and warehousing systems in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, maintain, and update infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Create and maintain clear documentation—including reference architectures, design specifications, and rationale—to support team decisions.

Proactively recommend technology solutions that align with current business goals; identify and address security risks, executing effective mitigation strategies.

Specify hardware and software requirements for all systems; pursue automation and process improvements to enhance IT and business operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Server or Network Engineer within heavy industry or manufacturing environments.

Expertise in virtualized server infrastructures (VMware, KVM, XCP‑ng, Citrix).

Strong background in managing Layer 2 and Layer 3 multi‑site networks—especially Cisco and PicOS.

Experience in managing CCTV and access control systems (Axis, Ubiquiti, HikVision).

Proficiency supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including Windows Server and AD/Entra administration.

Additional experience with M365 services (Office, Exchange, Teams) administration is highly valued.

Comfortable working in Linux environments (Ubuntu) and managing both servers and desktops.

Familiarity with containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, LXD).

Track record of deploying and managing cybersecurity solutions in industrial settings, including Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyser, FortiSRA).

Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or extensive industry experience.

License or Certificate Candidates are encouraged to possess recognized IT certifications in networking or server technologies from reputable organizations such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or Fortinet.

Position Mechanics Reports to : Senior Director, Technology Systems

Type : Exempt; Full‑time

Work Hours : Flexible, but must be available 8:00‑5:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work.

Location : Houston, TX

Work environment : Primarily an office environment; may also work in an industrial environment requiring PPE.

Travel : Minimal—less than 10%

Physical Demand : Office environment with occasional lifting and manual work.

Legal Requirement : Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
