Advanced Production Technician - Aerospace Thermocoating Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Company is currently seeking an Advanced Production Technician to join our team in San Jose In this role, you will perform conformal coating application, encapsulation, plating, waste water treatment system support and thermal coating applications.
Responsibilities: oPerform Solvent and chemical metal surface preparation(s) for multiple surfaces to include all Aluminums, 3D Titanium, Titanium, Steel, Stainless Steel, Chemical Conversion Coated surfaces, Anodize, Tio-dize, Ceramic, Kapton, Silver, Gold, Composites and Invar per ASTM for Thermal Coating applications, Bonding Operations (Type 1 and Type 2) and Encapsulation Procedures Read and understand Lanteris Flight part blueprints that require masking applications to be within .2 mil. oPerform specialized surface finish functions: thermal coating applications using, BAAQMD approved HVLP Spray guns Materials sprayed include Aerospace Epoxies, Polyurethanes, Poly vinyls and silicones Conformal coating materials include Silicones, Polyurethanes and epoxies on populated Electronic CCA's and PC Boards. Encapsulation, potting, epoxy bonding of flight hardware, marking of flight hardware and material mixing operations All Materials are applied to precise Aerospace Quality and Thickness standards per Lanteris Specifications to meet rigid requirements for type 1 Bonding and Thermal Optical Emittance for Space Environments oUndergo training by Lanteris , to include the following topics: electrostatic discharge, contamination control, adhesive bonding, conformal coating, flight hardware handling, and environmental health and safety certifications Will also receive hands on training to apply all coatings to assure that precise Lanteris Space applications are achieved.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements: oMust be a U.S citizen or permanent resident o3-4 years of relevant experience oAbility to read and understand blueprints oProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs oPossess excellent hand/eye coordination oAbility to work in a team environment and show flexibility by being able to pivot when Manufacturing schedules are re-prioritized oAbility to maintain a safe and clean workspace, according to 5S Manufacturing oEnvironment standards oWork is 100% onsite with travel between various Lanteris Manufacturing Buildings frequent
Preferred Qualifications: oHigh School diploma or GED oA background in Chemistry and Aerospace Thermal Coatings
