Job Summary The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation, a unit of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Physical Therapist to plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients, restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. The PT will supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Students, and train new staff as needed.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist State License.

Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting, 1-2 years preferred.

BLS Certification.

Ability to establish therapy goals and formulate a treatment plan based on evaluation results.

Supervise PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.

Provide individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy.

Participate in interdisciplinary groups for hospice patients and case conferences for home health patients.

Participate in discharge planning and provide initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols.

Record all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.

Knowledge of medical terminology, related accreditation & certification requirements.

Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, case‑management, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.

Ability to teach others and communicate effectively in writing.

Licenses and Credentials Physical Therapist State License – required.
