Annual Salary Range:

$56,000 — $93,600 (Based on Experience and Certification Level)

Shift Differentials:

+$3.00 Nights | +$3.00 Weekends |

On-Call Pay:

Overview Join a nationally recognized surgical team as an

Operating Room Technologist III (Tier 3)

in

Kansas City, Missouri . This senior-level role is ideal for a highly skilled surgical technologist ready to take on the most complex and high-acuity cases in a busy operating suite within a 585-bed tertiary medical center.

You’ll act as a lead technologist and resource for advanced surgical procedures — including robotics, total joints, neuro/spine, vascular, and burn — while mentoring peers and ensuring the highest standards of aseptic technique and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a lead technologist for advanced and high-risk surgical cases.

Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instrumentation for multiple specialties.

Anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures, ensuring precise and efficient workflow.

Assist in the operation of advanced surgical technologies, including robotics and hybrid vascular systems.

Mentor and support less experienced surgical technologists, promoting skill development and consistency.

Collaborate with perioperative nurses, anesthesia teams, and surgeons to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Uphold safety standards, infection control protocols, and equipment readiness for every procedure.

Participate in on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time.

Qualifications Required:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST — NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C — NCCT)

Minimum

1 year of OR technologist experience

in a high-acuity setting

Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Proficiency in wire handling and vascular hybrid room techniques

Preferred:

5+ years of multi-specialty operating room experience

Demonstrated ability to serve as preceptor or mentor in surgical settings

Advanced cardiovascular or robotic surgery certification
