About the Role CBRE is currently looking for an Utilities Mechanic in the Concord area of NC. As a CBRE Utilities Mechanic, you will troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure in the Central Utilities Plant for a 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will respond to and communicate with key customers/system owners and understand all aspects of equipment operation and maintenance.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot problems as they occur on chillers, cooling towers, RO systems, steam boilers, hot water boilers, air compressors, fire riser rooms, life safety systems, and other equipment in the Central Utility Plant as required.

Troubleshoot could include but not limited to, maintaining and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.

Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and document in the client CMMS system.

Maintain a safe work environment.

Maintain a personal training plan at 100% to ensure compliance with all aspects of HS&E, Quality and Regulatory Agencies.

Coach others and share in‑depth knowledge of your discipline and several job disciplines within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Build consensus and convince others to reach agreement.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.

Utilities, maintenance, and/or operations background with basic computer skills and CMMS experience beneficial. Must work in confined spaces, on ladders/scaffolds, use PPE and lift 50 lbs.

Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.

Travel not required.

Lifting required (50 lbs).

Required to be on call.

Ability to interpret instructions, write routine reports, and respond to inquiries. Ability to present information to internal departments and large groups.

Personal safety responsibility and safety of others. Includes HSE training, policies, incident investigations, and reporting.

Compliance with COVID‑19 health and safety protocols, including vaccination proof or rigorous testing.
