Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Long Beach, CA. This full-time, contract role serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade with a caseload of approximately 45-60 students. The position spans from the start of the current school year (ASAP) through the end of the school year (EOSY), operating Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for speech and language disorders in students K-12
Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and therapy goals
Qualifications
Active California Speech-Language Pathology certification / license is required
Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorder assessments and intervention techniques
Ability to manage a full caseload effectively and maintain detailed records
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location Long Beach, CA
Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday
Duration Contract position from ASAP through EOSY
