Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. This includes researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency, and planning factory layouts to optimize production. The role also involves leading or assisting in the cost estimation process.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Evaluate manufacturing processes based on key quality criteria such as efficiency and speed
Provide cost estimations for new and existing projects
Create, evaluate, and implement effective manufacturing processes
Study production workflows and machine requirements
Develop and test both automated and manual production systems
Design, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment
Implement processes that ensure consistent, high-quality output
Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
Optimize facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues or delaysIdentify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving quality
Train production staff on new and existing processes
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to support manufacturing goals
Ensure all procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations
Upgrade systems and processes by incorporating new technologies
Required Education, Skills, And Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance methodologies
Knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, Microsoft Office)
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
