Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our Omaha team as a Tax Director, Tax Manager, or Lead Accountant. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is eager to grow alongside a firm that values excellence and innovation.
You’ll work directly with business owners and individual clients to manage their tax compliance and strategy, create tax projections, and support accounting and payroll processes. This is an in‑person position with the potential for a hybrid schedule after the initial onboarding and training period.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare/review individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S).
Develop tax projections and assist clients in planning for future tax liabilities.
Conduct client meetings to discuss financial positions, strategies, and next steps.
Collaborate with the team on accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services.
Stay current on tax law changes and proactively identify planning opportunities for clients.
Maintain organized workpapers and client documentation in line with firm standards.
Contribute to process improvement and workflow efficiency within the firm.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or private industry.
Proficiency in preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax law.
Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., Drake, QuickBooks, or similar).
