Job Summary: The Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our equipment and facilities by developing, coordinating, and managing all planned maintenance activities. This position acts as a vital link between the maintenance department and other operational areas, including production and procurement, to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
Coordinate effectively with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and operations personnel to meticulously plan work based on equipment availability and production schedules.
Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the timely availability of necessary parts and materials for scheduled and unplanned maintenance.
Act as a primary liaison between the maintenance department and other departments to facilitate clear communication and efficient workflow.
Prepare detailed work orders, including mechanics assigned, required materials, and parts for upcoming maintenance tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance department's objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
A relevant educational background is /required.
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment, with a preference for experience within the meat/food industry.
Proficiency and experience in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with Manager + system experience.
Demonstrated ability to identify and secure necessary parts and materials for maintenance tasks.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work orders, schedules, and resources efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and departments. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to anticipate and address potential maintenance issues proactively.
Experience operating various equipment including forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, and other material handlers.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in various conditions and temperatures within a manufacturing environment.
