Job Description You will be the Manufacturing Engineer (Missile Assembly & Robotics) for Pike County Operations (PCO). The team creates high‑tech solutions for advanced missile manufacturing to meet next‑generation warfighter needs. This role works the 1st Shift (Tuesday through Friday).

What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer you will solve technical issues on the production shop floor, create and improve manufacturing processes and operations, integrate new innovative technologies into the factory, and develop digital applications to improve operator and support personnel productivity.

Analyze engineering data to develop new manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.

Integrate new assets and technologies into the factory.

Support area‑wide continuous improvement initiatives driving quality and cost enhancements.

Investigate root cause of quality defects and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Troubleshoot, service, and repair process equipment and tooling.

Further Information About This Opportunity Position location: Troy, AL. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Bachelor or higher) with 1+ years of professional experience, or 6+ years of related professional experience.

Knowledgeable of general manufacturing processes and factory automation equipment.

Able to demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands‑on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly and test, and repair non‑operating tools and equipment.

Desired Skills

Experience interpreting engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists, and specifications to generate manufacturing processes and conduct detailed failure analysis.

Experience with various robotic applications (collaborative, material removal/finishing, material handling, painting) in an aerospace/automotive manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of FANUC robotics & controls or equivalent.

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering specifications, schematics, and 2D drawings with GD&T references.

Familiarity with manufacturing software such as DELMIA Apriso MES, PTC Creo CAD, Windchill PLM, MPMLink, and SAP ERP tools.
