Key Responsibilities

Support the ongoing development and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Collaborate with the Contracts department to address customer inquiries related to product quality and reliability.

Participate in contract reviews and help define quality requirements; ensure all contractual flow-downs are communicated to suppliers.

Apply working knowledge of Navy Technical Publications (NAVSEA) -248, -271, -278, and -1688.

Analyze and interpret quality data; present findings to relevant departments for corrective actions or process improvements.

Contribute to the creation of Quality Plans and assist in root cause analysis and material review dispositions.

Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to inspect mechanical parts and components.

Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) as needed to support inspections.

Provide technical guidance to inspectors on drawings, specifications, and measurement techniques.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements Competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience

5-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing and quality inspection environment, with at least 5 years in the defense industry

Demonstrated ability to adhere to standards and requirements

Strong understanding of technical procedures and government regulations

Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
