About the Role Cogs is working with a leading professional services firm, seeking a skilled
Electrical Project Engineer
to join their New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative and complex projects in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities, as well as subways, tunnels, bridges, and highways.
Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical engineering designs for lighting, power systems, fire alarms, public address, telecom, access control, and more.
Perform calculations, code analyses, schematic designs, construction drawings, and project specifications.
Conduct site visits, field inspections, and analyses, such as short circuit and Arc Flash studies.
Act as the Electrical Project Engineer on assignments, managing designs with minimal oversight.
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and attend client/contractor meetings.
Manage small, electrically oriented projects as the Project Manager.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
Experience:
5–7 years of experience in electrical engineering design.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, SKM Power Tools, and Visual Lighting software.
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
Certification:
New York PE License (or ability to obtain one).
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license.
