Job Description LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client in Tinley Park, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring all manufacturing processes, resolving customer complaints, reviewing statistical data, performing audits and daily evaluations, performing quality cost analysis, and improving statistical methods.
This role requires 5 years of manufacturing experience and excellent problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities
Liaise between Manufacturing and Quality to resolve customer problems, and ensure customer quality requirements and specifications
Analyze returns and make recommendations for improvements
Review and analyze statistical data
Update group Quality Assurance procedures and systems
Perform audits and daily evaluations to monitor all manufacturing processes
Assist with implementation of statistical methods and quality improvement programs
Use statistical sampling to continually improve testing methods, tooling and equipment
Collaborate with engineer to test new product lines
Some travel necessary to customers and suppliers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent required
ASQC certification
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes and principles
Product and process failure analysis experience required
Demonstrated record of problem solving with production teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Fastener manufacturing knowledge
