Executive Search Consultant at LHH specializing in Supply Chain and Engineering Direct-Hire Placement Job Title:
Quality Engineer
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client's organization in the Richton Park, IL area.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison between manufacturing and quality teams regarding customer specifications, quality requirements, and problem resolution.
Review customer complaints, analyze returns, and recommend corrective actions.
Implement and improve statistical methods and quality improvement programs; present statistical data in graphical formats.
Assist with annual plant audits, systems surveys, and updating group Quality Assurance procedures.
Support application engineering and sales with development and application problem-solving.
Continuously improve testing methods, tooling, and equipment through statistical sampling.
Partner with engineering to develop efficient testing methods for new product lines.
Monitor manufacturing processes through audits and daily evaluations to ensure quality standards are met.
Provide support to the Quality Department as needed and remain flexible to handle urgent issues.
Travel to customers and suppliers as necessary to address and control problem areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Plant Quality Manager.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent; ASQC certification or equivalent preferred.
Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing.
Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes and principles (ISO/IATF), including automotive industry standards.
Experience in product and process failure analysis and quality techniques such as SPC, TQM, Kaizen, and design of experiments.
Demonstrated achievement in problem solving with production teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation, training, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of fastener manufacturing is desirable.
