Senior Electrical Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

We are looking for a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to join our Resilience Water Team in either our North Carolina or Florida offices.
Base pay range : $82,400.00 / yr – $145,000.00 / yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program, 401K, short‑term and long‑term disability, accident and death insurance, paid parental leave, a reward & recognition program, wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. The position offers nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.
Role Accountabilities
Support water and wastewater facilities and industrial projects in planning, design and construction.
Develop project/task scopes, schedules and budgets; provide project management support for budget and schedule delivery.
Lead electrical design and coordination with emphasis on power distribution, lighting, communications, security, fire alarm, and control systems for water, wastewater and industrial projects.
Create design criteria, perform calculations, develop one‑line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications.
Conduct and review equipment submittals, shop drawings, and respond to contractor RFIs. Perform field inspections, project oversight and quality assurance during construction.
Use analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools for power system analysis.
Maintain high‑quality standards, meticulous attention to detail and effective communication with stakeholders.
Travel to project sites, client meetings, equipment audits and construction oversight as required.
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP (2D & 3D) or Revit, short‑circuit and overcurrent coordination, arc‑flash analysis, and photometric studies.
In‑depth knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements.
Experience mentoring junior and staff electrical engineers.
Strong teamwork, time‑management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience.
Prior consulting experience with water/wastewater and industrial facilities.
