Applications Architect
We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect to join our team in Southern California. This role is centered on designing, implementing, and operating advanced Data Catalog solutions to support enterprise-wide metadata management, data discovery, lineage, and quality assurance. As part of a long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in shaping data governance operations and collaborating with various stakeholders across business and IT teams. Responsibilities
Implement cloud-based data catalog solutions to streamline metadata ingestion and enhance data quality. Create and maintain data governance dashboards tailored to diverse roles, including data owners, stewards, engineers, and privacy officers. Develop and present catalog quality reports to monitor and improve domain-specific governance metrics. Collaborate with business and IT teams to align data governance activities with organizational goals. Execute technical data steward responsibilities as needed to ensure data integrity and compliance. Configure and manage Informatica tools, including dashboards, scanners, profiling, and sampling functionalities. Support compliance audits by generating detailed reports to meet legal and regulatory standards. Define and operationalize governance councils using data catalog tools and established processes. Utilize AI-powered classification systems to streamline data cataloging and enhance data discovery. Travel as required to support business needs and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance strategies. Requirements
Minimum of 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience with data catalog tools such as Informatica Data Catalog, Informatica Data Quality, Alation, Unity, or Collibra. Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on data governance and quality assurance. Self‑motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability. Experience in creating dashboards and reports to support data governance initiatives. Familiarity with cloud technologies and enterprise‑wide data management practices. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, including audit processes. Proficiency in leveraging artificial intelligence for data classification and discovery. Benefits
