Responsibilities

Design and implement data quality dashboards using tools like Power BI to provide clear and actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders on data quality metrics and trends.

Regularly audit data sets and processes to ensure compliance with internal governance policies and external regulatory requirements, providing recommendations for any necessary corrective actions.

Lead and participate in cross‑functional teams aimed at improving data quality across the organization, driving initiatives that address systemic data quality issues and align with broader data governance objectives.

Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s data catalog, ensuring accurate data representation and metadata management to enhance data discoverability and usability across departments.

Perform complex data quality assessments on data sources and products, ensuring referential and historical integrity; work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement processes for continuous improvement.

Collaborate with data stewards and governance teams to enforce data governance standards, including data quality, privacy, and security, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline with typically 5 to 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Strong proficiency with data cataloging tools, metadata management platforms, SQL, and data modeling.

Experience in data quality management and familiarity with ETL processes and data warehouses.

Demonstrated ability to manage and improve processes involving data quality, metadata, and governance.

Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Preferred

Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview for managing data governance initiatives, including data profiling, data cataloging, and metadata management.

Expertise in using Power BI for building interactive dashboards that communicate data quality metrics, lineage, and trends to business stakeholders.

Experience using Microsoft Synapse with Purview for comprehensive data lineage tracking and quality monitoring across cloud‑based and on‑premise data platforms.

Experience with other leading data quality and metadata management tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Collibra, Alation, and Talend.

Deep understanding of data governance frameworks and industry standards, including how to align data quality practices with regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.
