Job Description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks a full‑time Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon Faculty member at a non‑tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. The position is primarily located in the Jacksonville area and may support the growing Northeast Florida region. This role reports to the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Responsibilities
Perform hand and wrist surgeries, including complex procedures and ambulatory clinical care.
Provide outpatient clinical services and maintain a patient‑focused practice.
Support regional outreach and inter‑facility collaboration as needed.
Required Qualifications
MD with board certification or board eligibility.
Fellowship trained in Hand Surgery.
Eligibility to obtain a Florida Medical License.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and a strong commitment to patient‑centered care.
Extensive experience performing complex procedures and surgeries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex medical concepts to students.
Passion for teaching and dedication to fostering academic growth.
